Congrats Dr. Scholten!

On Friday August 15, our graduate student, Bradley Scholten, successfully defended his PhD dissertation titled “Assessing the Spread of Antimicrobial Resistant Bacteria in Songbirds at Bird Feeders”. Bradley was co-Advised by both Drs. Burford Reiskind and Kays. He did an incredible job and we are so excited to congratulate Dr. Scholten! Bradley has been a standout student these past five years. We’ve watched him balance his research, teaching and mentorship with finesse, and we can’t wait to see all he accomplishes. Bradley will be flying on to the Kellogg Biological Station at Michigan State for a postdoc position where he’ll be studying antimicrobial resistance in songbirds. Way to go Bradley!
