Lessons

The Burford Reiskind Lab, in collaboration with Colleen Grant in Biological Sciences, has developed several lesson plans for students in K-12. Working closely with the SciREN group, which brings educators and researchers together to develop these lesson plans, the plans incorporate NC Essential Standards. Our lessons plans include work on Mosquitoes in your Backyard, Schoolyard Ecology and Evolution in Action. We use our own research projects as a way to engage the community both through classroom visits and as active participants.
