Carolina Madtom
Carolina madtom (Noturus furiosus) is found in the Tar and Neuse river basins and is listed as “State Threatened” and “Federal Species of Concern.” With a collaborator in the Applied Ecology Department, Dr. Jim Rice, we have screened Carolina madtom with the ddRADseq protocol and found it worked well. We hope to use this method for a future population genomic analysis of this fish in both river basins.
